Or can the client be given a number when they use paypal or zen cart etc that will automaticaly add points of the right value to their points account

Yes, I think it can work for you. You just have to adapt the thinking how to use the loyalty program for your purpose.
The loyalty program works with points. You can integrate with any shopping cart in similar way as Paypal. Just place HTML code to the checkout page and it will let users add POINTS. For example if they pay for membership you give them 100 points. They will see small icon/button on checkout page. Click on it and get 100 points. Simple pasting of HTML code will do that. Code is generated in admin section when ADDING NEW EARNING CAMPAIGN.
Hi, i run 5 retail outlets and want make my loyalty system more automated. I want a program that will link to my POS calcualting what a customer has spent, once they reach a total i want a credit to be added to there account – i dont want to have to run around checking and chase every individual customer, sending out voucher etc etc, do you think your system could do this??

The system is web-based, with a central control point, where all the calculations are done. So, yes, the system can fulfil your request as long as you can link to the web all your outlets.

My questions for this process:
1) Is this confirmation an email sent to the user automatically?
2) If yes, where is the format of this email confirmation that I can edit? What I see in admin sections are email archives for general mailings, not for redemption confirmation.

The confirmation e-mail is sent automatically, and for the moment it is not customizable. We included the confirmation e-mail in the demo version recently, so you can take a look.
The e-mailing functionality in the administration page is indeed not intended for confirmation e-mails, but rather for notifications/advertising, solving individual problems of the customers, etc.

How would your system know how much the customer spent in my store? Do I have to enter the amount myself or is your system linked to my POS?

Hi Steve. Yes, the amounts have to be introduced manually. It is safer this way and also it can work in paralell with any other selling system. Integration with payment systems or specific selling systems would be much more expensive. The good news is that if your POS supports a web-browser, you can operate the loyalty system on the same machine.
